Moon Jellies don’t shine at night

It goes by many names (moon jelly, moon jellyfish, common jellyfish and saucer jelly) but scientists call it Aurelia aurita. In Alabama it’s commonly called the moon jelly, pest or other names not fit to print. The moon jelly, when mature is about the size of a dinner plate.

Light, Licht, ligera or lumière – what ever you call it we all love a day full of sunshine and if you throw in a few warm gentle breezes we’re set to go. That light that we love so much is something that all life on our planet needs to exist either directly or indirectly.
